Witteveen+Bos
Witteveen+Bos Raadgevende Ingenieurs are specialised in project and process management. Among other things, they focus on keeping any disruptions or inconvenience to a minimum and raising the level of safety for those who live and work in the area.

Witteveen+Bos is involved with boring the tunnel beneath the city centre, with the monitoring system that keeps an eye on the stability of the surrounding buildings and with the safety of the ‘deep’ stations.

Ingenieursbureau Amsterdam (IBA)
The IBA is the City of Amsterdam’s consulting and engineering firm and has wide-ranging expertise in the area of infrastructure, traffic, the environment and public spaces.

The IBA is concerned with the temporary measures involved in the construction of the metro line (traffic diversions, cables and pipelines), with the construction of the stations in Amsterdam-Noord and with the tunnel in Amsterdam-Zuid.

Royal Haskoning
The consulting firm Royal Haskoning knows all about how people interact with the environment. Their expertise runs from spatial development to installation techniques, from architecture tot water management.

Royal Haskoning played a role early on in the design philosophy for the ‘deep’ stations and is involved in the work at Central Station and Europaplein Station.

Saturn X
This company, consisting of Dura Vermeer, Zublin and Walter Bau AG, focuses on designing, engineering and carrying out underground construction projects in the Netherlands.

Saturn X is a contractor for the bored tunnels.

Their website is under construction.

Herrenknecht
This company is specialised in tunnel-boring techniques and machines.

For the Noord/Zuidlijn, Herrenknecht is involved with boring the tunnels and constructing and monitoring the tunnel walls.

Strukton Betonbouw
Strukton Betonbouw designs and builds things like bridges, parking garages and stations. This contractor is also adept at underground construction and immersed tunnels.

Strukton is building the immersed-tunnel elements needed to create the tunnel from Amsterdam-Noord to the city centre. Together with contractor Van Oord ACZ, Strukton is building the metro station at Central Station.

Heijmans Beton- en Waterbouw
Heijmans is a Dutch building and property developer with a focus on residential property, work, recreation, traffic and transport and offering a range of services from development to management.

Heijmans is building the shield-launching shaft (at the Damrak across from Central Station), which is the departure point for the tunnel-boring machine. Together with Strukton, Heijmans is making the parts for the tunnel that will run beneath the IJ River.

Max Bögl
The German corporation Max Bögl is at home in every aspect of the construction industry: from the building plans to the operations.

Max Bögl is building the three ‘deep’ stations: Rokin, Vijzelgracht and Ceintuurbaan.

Nelis Infra
As a subsidiary of the BAM Groep, Nelis Infra is specialised in conduit construction, concrete construction and underwater hydraulic engineering.

Nelis Infra is involved with the temporary measures on the Rokin (traffic diversions, cables and pipelines). A temporary bus platform has been built at Central Station and a temporary mooring place for houseboats has been built at Sixhaven.

ProRail
ProRail is the builder for and manager of the Dutch railway and the railway stations.

ProRail is managing the construction beneath the (NS) Central Station. ProRail is taking care of informing the public in this connection and responsible for the makeover of the central hall of the station.

Sol Data and Grontmij
Sol Data is providing the monitoring services during the geo- and civil-engineering works. Grontmij is a multidisciplinary consulting and engineering firm active in the construction, infrastructure and environmental sectors.

Sol Data and Grontmij have developed and installed a monitoring system for optimal risk management by keeping an eye on all movements in the ground, foundations and buildings.

Van Hattum & Blankevoort
Since it was founded in 1831, Bouwbedrijf Van Hattum & Blankevoort has grown into a company with 300 employees. Based in Woerden, the company wants to make the use of space and the infrastructure in the Netherlands safer and more efficient. They have already contributed to projects such as the IJsselmeer Dam (Afsluitdijk), the Zeelandbrug, the Delta works, the Benelux Tunnel, the Betuweroute and the high-speed rail line (HSL).

For the Noord/Zuidlijn they are building the reception shaft for the tunnel-boring machine on Scheldeplein and the Europaplein Station with the adjoining tunnels.

Vobi
Vobi is active in the field of civil engineering. Having been around for 80 years, it commands all facets of the field. Vobi specialises in building on, in, under and with ground and water. Vobi has also built up considerable experience in carrying out projects in collaboration with other companies. Together with Dekker and v/d Horst, Vobi is building the junction of the Noord/Zuidlijn with the A10 ring way.
