Zuid Station, the only pre-existing station on the Noord/Zuidlijn, is located aboveground. The platforms and entrances still need to be adapted, however. Numerous tramlines and trains, including the high-speed rail line (HSL), will converge here. There will also be a regional bus station. 47,500 passengers are expected to use Zuid Station each day.
Prime location In recent years, the so-called Zuidas (South Axis) has developed into a prominent business district and a public transportation junction. Thanks to the Noord/Zuidlijn, there will soon be a better connection for public transportation to Schiphol, and the new metro line will also help the area around this important station develop further.
